Reading is a skill that will determine a student’s level of success in school and subsequently in life. For some students, reading is effortless. For others, it is one of life’s biggest struggles. At Syllables Learning Center, our reading tutoring works to make fluent readers out of all students, including struggling readers and students with dyslexia, ADHD, poor working memory, and other learning differences.
The Syllables Reading Curriculum
Our structured literacy-based reading tutoring guides students of all ages through the critical components of reading, including:
We work one-on-one with students using systematic, multisensory curriculum developed by our Executive Director, Jennifer Hasser, an educator with more than 20 years experience in dyslexia tutoring and education. Our curriculum takes students on a journey starting with basic sounds and progressing to complex decoding, including comprehension, writing, and spelling concepts. Our curriculum incorporates the latest research and is based on the Structured Literacy research and philosophy that struggling readers and readers with dyslexia learn best when taught in a way that is multisensory, systematic, structured, and individualized for each learner.
The Syllables Learning Center curriculum is fun and engaging, and presented in a way that kids remember. Our highly skilled reading therapists adapt the curriculum to the age and ability of each student.
Syllables provides one-on-one reading tutoring in Alpharetta, Georgia. We also work with students worldwide via online teletherapy.
